Hai Friends, I hope you all are doing good. Today I am discussing with you about a Gadget named WeTab, a small tablet which was released on 12 April 2010. Now you may think that what is the relevance of discussing the specifications of these eight years old product here.
As you know, I am a stranger tech enthusiast with a crazy character. My thought is that as we learn the history, as a Tech Enthusiast, we also need to know and share the history of
old gadgets too. I have a collection of old gadgets like iPad, Pager, etc. I know that there will be a small fraction of people those who read this article about these old gadgets. I have already written few articles about our “Vintage Gadgets” like Nokia x6, Nokia 5230 and iPad 1.
This small tablet was built by Pegatron and released on 12 April 2010. It was a user-friendly device running on Linux based MeGo OS. The company offers an Android 2.0 and 2.2 upgrade for this smart device.
The screen size and resolution was pretty good and attractive. The screen size is 11.6 “, 1366 × 768 pixels, color and it also supports multi-touch as it has a multi-touch touchscreen (TN-panel).
The RAM of the device was only 1 GB. But it was good enough for normal usage at that time.
The processor of WeTab was 1.6 Intel Atom processor.
The WeTab come with a 1.3 MP rear camera. It is not good enough when compared with new generation smartphones but can satisfy basic needs at that time.
The battery can provide energy for six hours and but last for only two hours during heavy usage.
It comes with 16/32 GB, and memory can expand upto 32 GB with an SDHC card.
The weight of the device is little high. The weight is about 995g.
The WeTab also supports 3G, and WiFi too.
This is the small brief about WeTab. It was a hot product at that time. This device also supports Gmail.
